NCAA Bracket 2011: Greater Sweet 16 Showing, Kemba Walker or Derrick Williams?

UConn guard Kemba Walker and Arizona forward Derrick Williams would be the two hottest players within the NCAA tournament. Both had dominant games within the Sweet 16 and are now set to square off within the Elite Eight. Walker dropped 36 points, three assists, three rebounds and carried his team to some 74-67 victory over San Diego State. Derrick Williams scored 32 points together with 13 boards in a 93-77 upset win over No. 1 seed Duke.

The question is, whose epic performance was far better? Walker scored lots of points and in no way spent whenever on the bench. He is undoubtedly the Huskies' greatest scorer and might be one of the most valuable player in college basketball. Nevertheless, apart from scoring and the occasional steal, Kemba did not have any other main contributions to his team hanging around against San Diego State.

Williams came out for only two minutes from the game against Duke, but not like Kemba, he brought more than just his scoring. D-Will complemented his high scoring total by leading his team in rebounding as well. He was also solid within defensively. And so i would must say Derrick Williams had a better Sweet 16 overall performance than Kemba Walker. Even so, these games are over, and their Elite Eight meeting is all that matters now. So who will have a far better overall performance come Saturday's game?

I believe that Kemba Walker will outplay Williams in the Elite Eight game.Williams has shown that he can go cold against teams with strong within presence. Against Texas he only scored 17 points and only agreed to be 4-of-15 from the field.
